Following the steps of Saint Raphaela and the first Handmaids, today we began our pilgrimage; leaving Madrid, we started out on the road to Andújar. Just as they did, we began this journey with high hopes, in a spirit of community, looking forward to contemplating those places that were so significant in the early history of our Congregation.

In Andújar we were able to enter the Hospital and visit the chapel, reliving the adventure and the faith of our sisters in those moments of difficulty. From there we continued on to Pedro Abad, where we experienced a warm welcome from our sisters to the house of Saint Raphaela Mary and Mother Pilar.

These are moments of love, of wonder and of profound gratitude to God, to our foundresses and to the Institute.
