15 Jan I WILL NEVER CEASE TO APPRECIATE LITTLE THINGS. Third probation
“I will never cease to appreciate little things” Saint Raphaella M.
These words of Santa Rafaela have accompanied us on our pilgrimage as we retrace and re-experience our humble beginnings as an institute. We have visited significant and precious places where our institute was born and grew by God’s amazing graces. We have gazed, touched, contemplated, walked in the footsteps of Saint Raphaela Maria, Mother Pilar, the first sisters and Saint Ignatius of Loyola. We are most grateful for the inheritance which they entrusted us and the legacy they left to the Church and the world. There were moments when our heart was simply overflowing with gratitude for being a part of such sacred heritage, for having been granted the opportunity to be a handmaid of the Lord according to the life and spirituality of our founders. Every day we renew our love for the Lord and deepen our charism through faith sharing in Adoration sisterly together .

We have started our third probation with the opening meeting with the General team. Sister Charo encourages us to be faithful, to deepen our relationship with Jesus and to live the theme that accompanies us “Contemplating the Heart of Christ leads us to look at the world with active hope.” We feel grateful for our vocation as handmaids and we feel accompanied by the Institute. It was a great grace to be able to share with one other in this sacred space. We have felt with great enthusiasm to be with one another universality, to be very close to Santa Rafaela Maria. With the conviction that God awaits us, we profoundly spent moments with Him.
In the afternoon we had the Eucharist presided by Father Marcelo S.J., who encouraged us in our journey of following Jesus, emphasized that there is no mission without sending and there is no sending without mission. We must be attentive to the signs of the times and constantly seek Jesus in all things and in each moment. Our Eucharist was celebrated in the spirit of universality, as we sang 7 languages, and an Indian ritual “Aarti” (praise to the Lord) was offered. We were accompanied by our sisters from the communities of Rome. We are grateful to all the sisters for their greetings and we continue to entrust ourselves to their prayers.
God has been loved us from the beginning of our Institute, may we have a deep yearning to love and seek His will, to listen to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit and to be attentive to the interests of the Heart of Jesus so that we can have enough courage saying “Yes” to His call for the rest of our lives.
